Public Computers

Dormont Public Library offers 14 public computers (13 in the upstairs computer lab, 1 downstairs) for patrons and visitors to use free of charge.

All of our computers are connected to a broadband Internet connection, for speedy access to a wealth of information and multimedia resources online.

Additionally, each computer is equipped with the Microsoft Office 2013 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) so that you can get your work done quickly and efficiently.

Computer Lab Staff

The library computer lab also has a staff person on hand who can assist you with signing on to the public computers, accessing the Internet, and printing documents. Please note that while computer lab staff can provide basic assistance with general computer tasks, they cannot fill out online forms or navigate within websites for you.

Staff availability may vary.

Computer Training

We offer appointments for individualized training with our staff. A training session lasts one hour and is free of charge. We currently offer training in:

  • Basic computer use
  • Basic use of iOS devices (iPhones, iPads–we regret that we cannot offer assistance with Android devices)
  • Navigating the Internet and signing up for e-mail
  • Microsoft Word 2013

Call us at (412) 531-8754 to set up a training session. Let us know if there are any topics you’d like to focus on.

Due to limited staff resources, each person may only receive one session of each type.
