We can have most document services completed for you while you wait, or within 1-2 hours, based on staff availability. If you have a large number of documents for us to print, copy, scan, or fax, please contact us in advance.
We can’t print, copy, fax, or scan documents until payment is made. You can pay with cash (exact change preferred), with credit card at the library, or using the Square online store.
Printing is 25¢/page for black and white, 75¢/page for color. We can print double-sided but the printing cost is per side, not per sheet of paper. We can mix black and white and color in the same document; just specify which pages you would like to have printed separately.
Documents can be printed on US letter size paper, US legal size paper, and #10 envelopes.
Documents must be submitted using the document drop-off form listed above, or by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Or if you need official government forms or publications, please give us a call, let us know the document number or form type (PA-1000, voter registration, etc.) and we will retrieve and print it for you.
We can handle just about any file format, but for best results we recommend PDF format. We will contact you if there are any issues with the document.
100% cotton resume paper (letter size only) and envelopes are available in white or cream for an extra fee of 25¢/sheet.
Deliver a document and we’ll photocopy it for you.
Black-and-white photocopies are 25¢/page and color photocopies 75¢/page. We can copy single-sided documents to double-sided, but the copying fee will be charged per side.
Drop off documents and we will fax them for you, or you can arrange a fax to be sent to us for you to pick up. Please call us at 412-531-8754 before the fax is sent to let us know to expect it.
- Local (area codes 412, 724) or toll-free number: $1.50 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional page
- Long-distance number (area code 814 or any out of state area code): $2.50 for the first page, $1.50 for each additional page
- International number: $5.00 for the first page, $2.50 for each additional page
All received faxes are charged as if they were local. A fax cover sheet is included free of charge.
Drop off documents or photos and we will scan them and deliver them to you via email or on a USB flash drive (additional charge of $10 for the USB flash drive; we cannot accept patron-provided flash drives at this time.)
Scanning costs 25¢/side for most items.
Scanning requests of over 10 pages/sides of bulky items cost 50¢/side.
Unless otherwise specified, documents will be scanned as a single 300dpi PDF file, and photos as 300dpi JPEG files. Higher resolutions, scanning to multiple PDFs, or other formats available on request.
For email delivery, please provide an email address that you have access to and can verify that you have received the document. We cannot be held responsible for any errors in the delivery of documents to third parties.
If you need the original item back and/or you are picking up a physical USB flash drive, please contact us to arrange a pickup time. If the return of the original item is not necessary, we can shred it for you.
Regarding Online Payments
If the total of services in your order is less than $2.00, please consider adding a fundraiser item to bring the cost above $2.00. This helps us defray credit card and online store processing fees. Thank you for your consideration Online store transactions under $2.00 may not be able to be processed.
