For privacy reasons, Dormont Public Library staff cannot provide advice on legal, financial, medical, or other sensitive topics. Library staff cannot fill out forms or complete applications for individual patrons.
Patrons are responsible for protecting their own personal information while using library provided computer and Wi-Fi services. Information stored on public computers is deleted each night when the computers automatically shut down. Records of individual library card numbers used to sign into the computers are automatically removed on a daily basis.
Lost and found items that may contain sensitive personal information (such as notebooks or flash drives) will be retained for no greater than 30 days; once the 30 days have elapsed, the item will be erased and/or disposed of.
