National Library Week 2025

April 6-12 is National Library Week! In addition to our regular weekly programming, we invite patrons to challenge themselves with our Book Quiz.Kids can try recognizing the silhouettes of picture book characters, while young adults and adults can test their reading memory with a variety of quotes. Anyone who gets all the answers right on their quiz will be entered into a raffle to win a gift card!The quiz needs to be completed in a single session at the library—and to keep things fair, no search engines are allowed. The American Library Association(ALA) kicks off National Library Week with the release of its State of America’sLibraries Report, including the list of Top Ten Most Challenged Books of 2024.Tuesday, April 8: National Library Workers DayA day for library staff, users, administrators, and Friends groups to recognizethe valuable contributions made by all library workers.Wednesday, April 9: National Library Outreach DayA day to celebrate library outreach and the dedicated library professionalswho are meeting their patrons where they are. Formerly known as NationalBookmobile Day.Thursday, April 10: Take Action for Libraries DayA day to rally advocates to support libraries.
