No printer? No problem.

Visitors to the library can print from any of our public PCs. Public PCs have USB-A ports and a SD card reader on the right side, and one USB-C port on the rear.

Public PCs can only print single-sided documents on letter sized paper.

Staff can help you print

Do you need an envelope, double-sided, or legal-sized print? A more complicated print job that requires special handling, or a less common file format? Get in touch with our computer lab staff and we’ll do our best to get your document on paper, at no additional cost.

Print by email service

If you want to send us a document from home or on the go and pick it up later, please use our print by email service. Visitors with documents on their phones, tablets, or laptops should also use the print by email service.

Just send a document to print@dormontlibrary.org and let us know when you’ll be there to pick it up. PDF format is preferred for email documents.

Documents submitted through email are deleted after you pick up your print.

Printing/Copying Fees

We charge a fee to cover the costs of toner supplies and equipment maintenance.

  • Black and white printing is 25c/page.
  • Color printing is 50c/page.
  • For double-sided prints, the cost is per side.

Depending on your needs, library staff may be able to assist you with fitting multiple pages or images on a single sheet of paper.

Scanning Fees

  • For staff-assisted scanning there is a fee of 25c per side.
  • When scanning large or bulky items, there is a fee of 50c/side after the first ten scans at the regular rate.

Faxing Fees

  • Local (area codes 412, 724) or toll-free number: $1.50 for the first page, $1.00 for each additional page
  • Long-distance number (area code 814 or any out of state area code): $2.50 for the first page, $1.50 for each additional page
  • International number: $5.00 for the first page, $2.50 for each additional page
  • All received faxes are charged as if they were local. A fax cover sheet is included free of charge.

    Attach up to 10 files. The maximum size for all files total is 100MB.
    Allowed file types: PDF (preferred), common Microsoft Office file types, OpenDocument, RTF, TXT, JPEG, PNG, GIF, ZIP

    Payment can be made at the library with cash or credit card. Payments by credit or debit card have a $2 minimum to cover processing fees. Documents will be printed once payment is received.
