Teen Special Programs

Special programs for teens and young adults, ages 12-18.

  • Saturday, September 20, 1-3 PM: Jackbox Party Game Afternoon
  • Saturday, October 4, 1-3 PM: Skeletons in the Stacks. Decorate the library for Halloween!
  • Wednesday, October 8, 4-5 PM: A podcasting workshop in conjunction with the Saturday Light Brigade. Ages 12-17. Registration required.
  • Saturday, November 15, 1-3 PM: Teens Only Movie. Title TBA. Refreshments will be served.
  • Saturday, December 13, 1-3 PM: DIY Holiday Gifts (examples: Examples: Phone charms, knotted ribbon garlands, corner bookmarks, sewn ornaments)

Learn to podcast with the Saturday Light Brigade, Wednesday, October 8! No previous experience in recording or audio editing is necessary.


Children’s Programming

Weekday Storytime

  • Mondays, 1:30 PM
  • Thursdays, 10:30 AM & 1:30 PM

Enjoy a story and an in-house craft with the library staff. Weekday Storytimes are intended for children from birth through 2nd Grade.

Family Storytime

  • Second & Fourth Saturdays monthly, 10:30 AM

Family Storytime is intended for toddlers and up. Stories are a little longer and crafts are a little more complicated than Weekday Storytime sessions. Family Storytimes have a different theme than each week’s Weekday Storytime.

Doggie Storytime

  • First Monday monthly, 6:30 PM

Doggie Storytime is a special storytime for kids in kindergarten to 3rd Grade where kids can practice reading to dogs! One or more therapy dogs and their handlers will be on hand to listen.

STEM Lab

  • First Saturday monthly, 10:30 AM
  • Fourth Tuesday monthly, 6:30 PM

Multidisciplinary STEM projects with a touch of the arts too. For children up to 6th Grade.

LEGO Club

  • Third Saturday monthly, 10:30 AM

Children and families are welcome at our monthly LEGO club! Use our big bin of LEGO and compatible bricks to put together a creation that’s uniquely your own.

Adult Programming

Finding Your Creative Voice

  • Second Tuesday monthly, 6:30 PM

Socialize and get creative with this adult arts and crafts program! Each month we’ll be trying out a different craft technique. No experience is required, so take it easy and have fun!

  • September 9: Scrapbooking
  • October 14: Scarecrows
  • November 11: Yarn Art
  • December 9: Decorative Holiday Bell

Lit Happens Book Club

  • First Saturday monthly, 1 PM

A new book group organized by library staff. Group members choose the books for a 3 month block; come prepared with your suggestions!

Sustainable Saturdays

  • Last Saturday monthly, various times

Join Sustainable Life Advocate Marty Smyczek for these free workshops. Get together and discuss ways to reduce the waste your household produces.

Young Adult Programming

Teens Mural Project

  • Saturdays, September 6-December 27, 11 AM-1 PM

Contribute to the Teens Mural Project and leave your mark on the library! Please speak to us at the front desk if you’d like to join the project.

This is a great opportunity to show leadership and rack up some community service hours!
