This September, libraries across Allegheny County are inviting residents to participate in a special fundraising collaboration to show support for their local library. Now in its fourth year, “Love Your Library,” a county-wide initiative developed by the Allegheny County Library Association and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, provides a way for residents to “show their love” to their local library. During the month of September, all donations made to more than 46 area library systems will go even further. Your donation will have a pro-rated match thanks to generous support from the Jack Buncher Foundation.
All of our fundraisers are eligible for these matching funds!
Direct contributions are, of course, always welcome, but especially so during Love Your Library month.
Dormont Public Library is an independent community library located in the South Hills which works to empower, educate, and inspire the members of the Dormont community and the surrounding Pittsburgh area through a wide offering of social, academic, and community-based programming. These programs help to establish the Dormont Public Library as a place of learning and growth.
Libraries are community builders. Libraries are community centers. Libraries are centers for the arts. Libraries teach. Libraries champion and encourage youth. Libraries are the great equalizer. Libraries are safe refuges. Libraries boost local economies. Libraries preserve history. Libraries connect our community. These are just some of the reasons that we’re so very passionate about Dormont Public Library. It’s why we ask today for you to join us in financially supporting this critical community center.
