February 1 – May 22 (tentative)

Due to the temporary suspension of library operations, the ending date for the Family Reading Challenge has tentatively been extended to Friday, May 22. We encourage all participants to continue reading and logging books!

Find a comfy couch and your favorite blanket and escape with the Kick Back and Read Family Reading Challenge!

Enter as an individual reader or a family. Each book you read and log scores one point.

All ages are welcome to enter the challenge, and each reading level, from Read to Me to adults, has a different bingo board of reading challenges to complete. Each book you read can be used to mark one (and only one) box on the bingo board. Mark a line and earn 5 extra reading points; mark the entire board and enjoy a free Sarris chocolate bar.

All books logged as part of the challenge must be checked out at Dormont Library, but you can order books from any county library and have them sent to Dormont to check out here.

At the end of the challenge, the individual or family with the highest average score will win a prize! (See the complete rules below for details on how the score is calculated.)

Ask at the front desk for more details or to sign up for the challenge.
