Love Your Library Month

Dormont Public Library and libraries across Allegheny County are inviting our neighbors to show their love!

Now in its eighth year, “Love Your Library,” a county-wide initiative developed by the Allegheny County Library Association and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, provides a way for residents to “show their love” to their local library.

During September, all donations made to more than 46 area library systems will go even further. Your donation will have a pro-rated match thanks to generous support from the Jack Buncher Foundation. Only donations made during September can be matched. This year we are making a special effort to fundraise in support of our devoted staff.

We have Love Your Library tote bags for $5 at the front desk throughout September, and free Love Your Library lawn signs that you can use to show your support!

Just using the library helps, too. Borrow books and movies, ebooks and Blu-Rays—every item checked out, every minute on public PCs or Wi-Fi all make a difference.
