Saturday Afternoon Reading: The Redheaded Princess, Part 1

This week, Amy reads the prologue and first 5 chapters of Ann Rinaldi’s The Redheaded Princess, read with the permission of HarperCollins. This is a historical young adult novel about the early years of Elizabeth, the daughter of King Henry VIII, who would later go on to become Queen Elizabeth I of England. From a young age, Elizabeth is surrounded by intrigue, romance, and religious conflict.

Please note that this book provides a frank description of the social norms of 16th century England and the aristocracy of the era.
