Policies

Food and beverages are not permitted in the library, unless served by the library or as part of a library-approved program. Coffee cups with a tight-fitting lid and water bottles are permitted in the computer lab; water bottles must be kept on the floor between drinks.

We request that you do not use your mobile phone to make voice calls in the library. If possible, turn off your ringer. If you must take or make a call, please do so outside or in the vestibule.

For the safety of staff and patrons, the Dormont Public Library premises are monitored by a 24-hour video surveillance system.

Unattended Child Policy

Any child under the age of 9 years old has to be supervised by a person at least 15 years of age or older.

Any child under the age of 5 must be supervised and in the caretaker’s visual sight at all times.

This policy shall apply to staff and their families as well as patrons.
