Seniors Tai Chi: Winter Hiatus

Seniors Tai Chi is on temporary hiatus until early Spring 2018. Thanks to everyone who attended during the fall session!

Poinsettia Preorders Now Available

The Dormont-Mt. Lebanon-Castle Shannon Rotary is once again selling beautiful, locally grown poinsettias for $10 each. Pink, white, and red flowers are available. A portion of the proceeds supports the library.

Order yours by Nov. 20 for pickup on Nov. 27, or by Nov. 27 for pickup on Dec. 4. 

Chess for Beginners Starts Oct. 21

Chess? Yes. Join us and instructor James Moore for a fun, hands-on introduction to chess! This program is designed for beginners of any age and takes place the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10:00-11:15AM, starting October 21!

ESL Class: Fall Session

Dormont Public Library is proud to partner with the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council to offer a series of classes designed to help students learn English. This class meets Mondays and Wednesdays beginning October 11, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
All students MUST attend an orientation on Monday, October 2. at 9 AM.

Autumn with the Bard: Sep. 11-Nov. 13, 8 PM

Take a walk back to the time of Elizabeth I to discover the pulse of pentameter and the seduction of sonnets. Unleash your inner Olivier or Walter. For ages 15 and up, including adults. There is a limit of 10 students and a $10 fee per session; call or click for details.

Acting Class for Kids: Sep. 11-Nov. 13, 7 PM

Dormont Public Library staff member and resident actress Sharon McCune will be offering this one-of-a-kind acting class at the library for children in kindergarten through 7th grade. There is a fee of $5 per session and we ask that you only register if your child can attend all 10 sessions. Call or click for details.
