Print, Scan, and Fax

Dormont Public Library offers printing, scanning, copying, and faxing services for patrons for a nominal fee. You can print from any of our public computers or from a Wi-Fi connected device (see the instructions), and all faxes are handled at the front desk.

Printing

Printing costs are 20 cents per page for black and white, 50 cents per page for documents that are mostly black and white with some color, and $1.00 per page for full color pages or color photographs in any size. This printing charge applies even if you supply your own paper. Color printing charges are determined at the time of printing by library staff. If you are unsure whether or not your document will be charged at the full color page rate, please ask staff before you submit your document to the printer. 100& cotton resume paper, resume envelopes, and picture paper are available at an additional cost of 25 cents per sheet.

Scanning

Color scanning services are available in the computer lab. We will scan your documents or photos and either e-mail them to you or save them to a USB flash drive that you provide. The charge is 50 cents per page or item. Small items like identification cards or receipts can be combined in a single scan. We do not do any image editing or retouching work. Scanned materials can be saved either as individual image files or compiled into Adobe PDF files.

Copying

A black-and-white photocopier is available downstairs near the front desk. The charge for copying is 20 cents per page.

Faxing

Ask at the front desk to fax your documents. For local or toll-free numbers, the charge is $1.00 for the first page, and 50 cents for each additional page. For long-distance faxes, the charge is $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page. We can slso receive faxes for you. The charge is the same as it is for sending faxes, but you must be present when the fax is received at the Library.
